Lake Michigan hosts a relatively large population of wintering sea ducks. Species present in huntable numbers primarily consist of Old Squaw, however, there are a sizable amount of Scoters that are also very common to the waters of Lake Michigan. Old Squaw typically arrive in huntable numbers by the end of October.
